I’ve always taken a liking to that style of steering wheel. Not sure why.
Oh and the truck is beautiful

Dad had an ‘87 when I was a baby. It’s actually what kickstarted my love of cars. At 3 years old, I told him I liked the square headlights. Ignored the tires, the roll bar, the bull bar, etc. I liked the headlights.

You like driving with th at wheel, or just admire its aesthetic?
I haven’t spent enough time with that style wheel t o comment on its comfort, but I do appreciate the degree of gauge visibility it affords, eve n when you turn the wheel just a little.

I’ve personally never owne d a vehicle with that style. Test drove an Aerostar 5-speed with it, loved the visibility as you mentioned. Passed on the offer because the throttle stuck open, and he wouldn’ t go less than $3,000

Oh man. Yeah, it was p robably a simple fix, but that’s still pretty unsafe and kicks it right into “trailer it home” territory. I wouldn’t have paid that much either.

There were a few other red flags (liftgate not closing properly, radio missing, mismatched tires, etc), but that one was a dealbreaker. I wouldn’t gone higher than $1,000
